Distance Learning:A new gate to global education
June 2nd, 2007 | by tk2 |In Japanese Associate Degree, we have a special lecture called Distance Learning [enkaku jugyou].So what’s so special about this subject? The answer is because the lecturer is 3305.01 km away from the students. Don’t believe me? Actually, the lecture was recorded earlier in Keio University and transferred to our lecturer in UNISEL. Then together with teaching assistants, our beloved lecturer [Yagashi Sensei] will edit the video and prepare some note for us.
A week later, the video will be broadcasted in PC Lab. So all the JAD students will sit together, spending about 1 and a half hour watching the video, I mean the lecture. The main motive of Distance Learning is to make us get use with learning environment in Japan. But after all I found that it’s hard for us to understand as the real spoken Japanese language is far too fast and complicated from what we learn in class.
At least we are trying.
